“Grow Your Wellbeing”

IN ACTION

On 6th March 2020, Project Arise launched its much anticipated Community Gardening activities at the Bank Top Neighborhood Learning Centre in Blackburn.

Project Arise is a Crisis Prevention, Crisis Intervention, and Empowerment programme of Arise Restoration Centre who are also seriously committed to promoting Social Integration and Personal Wellbeing in our communities of Blackburn with Darwen.

Project Arise Community Gardening is a collaborative effort led by Arise Restoration Centre with the following local organisations:

·       Bank Top Neighborhood Learning Centre

·       Blackburn with Darwen Adult learning

·       The Salvation Army Bramwell House

·       The Union House

·       The Lupin Foundation, and

·       The Islington House

The pictures and videos show participants in the classroom sessions and practical application in the garden, facilitated by Mr. Chris Truckle of the Blackburn with Darwen Adult learning.

The group is comprised of individuals from our targeted vulnerable population in Blackburn with Darwen, Project Arise staff and volunteers.

Due to the Coronavirus crisis, our community gardening is temporary suspended but will resume as soon as we get clearance from our government.

However, our Facilitator, Chris Truckle will do his best to give us Updates on the progress of the seeds sown and other work that was done in the garden.
